Juan Carlos Carcedo, the head coach of Spartak Moscow, has shared his thoughts on what would constitute a successful season for the team.
“When my coaching staff joined the club in winter, our goal was to improve the team’s position in the standings. We have achieved that. Moreover, it’s important that the team gives their all, believes in our ideas, and thanks the fans with good football for the incredible atmosphere in the stands. In the remaining two matches, we want to delight them even more. Spartak is a big club, and working here is a huge challenge. Success is ultimately determined by the final result,” Carcedo said, as quoted on the club’s official website.
After 29 matches in the Russian Premier League, Spartak has 51 points and sits in fourth place. They trail third-placed Lokomotiv by two points.
In the next round, Carcedo’s side will face Makhachkala’s Dynamo away. Additionally, the Red-Whites are set to meet Krasnodar in the Russian Cup Superfinal.
