Kylian Mbappe does not intend to play in Real Madrid’s remaining home fixtures this season, according to The Athletic.
The French forward would prefer to skip the upcoming home matches at the Santiago Bernabeu, a decision influenced by repeated negative reactions from supporters, including jeering and whistles.
Mbappe missed the team’s 2-0 loss to Barcelona in La Liga’s 35th round at the Spotify Camp Nou. Initially, it was reported that the Frenchman had been sidelined since April 24 due to injury and felt discomfort five minutes before the end of Real Madrid’s training session the day before the match. However, a different version suggests Mbappe left training after learning he would be benched for the game.
At this point, the club does not have precise information regarding the player’s return from injury.
